Next generation Vande Bharat trains will be able to attain maximum speed of 200 kmph: Railway Minister

The Marathwada Rail Coach Factory at Latur in central Maharashtra will manufacture almost 1,600 coaches for the upgraded model of Vande Bharat Convey trains in the coming several years and every of them will value Rs 8 crore to Rs 9 crore, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has reported.

He said the state-of-the-art model of Vande Bharat trains will be capable to attain optimum velocity of 200 km for each hour (kmph).

Vaishnaw was addressing the ‘Destination Marathwada’ party, organised by the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA), in Aurangabad on Monday night.

“The up coming variation of Vande Bharat trains will be created in Marathwada. Just about 1,600 coaches will be created at the facility in Latur. Each individual coach will cost Rs 8 crore to 9 crore. The job will develop possibilities for companies situated in radius of 400 km to 500 km,” he additional.

Talking about the next generation of Vande Bharat Express, Vaishnaw claimed, “The highest speed of these trains will be 200 kmph as compared to 180 kmph now. First mentor of this model will be rolled out in the up coming 15 to 16 months.”

On troubles in production the semi-large-speed trains, the minister stated, “We succeeded in bringing down the noise stage inside of them to 60-65 decibels which is much less than an aircraft (85-90 decibels).”

“The speed of laying railway tracks was 4 km per working day prior to 2014. This has now attained 12 km per day and the federal government intends to scale this up to 20 km for every working day,” Vaishnaw said.

The Aurangabad Industrial Town (AURIC) will be projected as an investment spot by the railway ministry, Vaishnaw said.
